Oak Harbor Attractions

Oak Harbor is home to one of only four remaining drive-in theatres in Washington State. Always showing a double feature of first run movies, the drive-in is an experience you won't soon forget. Go-carts, arcade and snack bar on the premises.

Photographs, maps, pioneer diaries, oral accounts, and historic items from the museum’s collection are just a few of the things that will educate visitors about Whidbey and take them from the early days of settlement to the present days of mass transit and the internet.

Some of the features of our pool include a ball swing, 1meter diving board, blow up octopus (named Oakie), hot tub, dry sauna, and many others. Our pool is a 6 lanes 25 meters and is kept at about 83 F.

Oak Harbor's own community theatre, the Whidbey Playhouse, puts on live theatre year round. Productions range from lively comedy and musicals to drama and mysteries, all in a quaint, cozy setting. Youth theatre and workshops are open to the public.

Being home to NAS Whidbey Island, there's no better place to celebrate America's birthday than right here in Oak Harbor. The Old Fashioned 4th of July is truly a hometown celebration. The grand parade kicks off with a flyover by a Prowler or P3 from NAS Whidbey, and the celebration goes on all day and into the night, ending with a big bang -- a professional fireworks display over the harbor.
